Happy Mothers Day!

Hope all the mothers had a well deserved happy mothers day! We spent our mothers day without any mothers, unfortunately, and had brunch with our roommate, his adorable 8month old, another coworker, and some new friends. Where did we go, you ask? Pineapple Grill.
Our roommate Jeff told us that their Juevos Rancheros were the best so, naturally, that's what i got. Julia had her favorite- Eggs Benedict. As much as i would like to think that all of these fancy Hawaii restaurants are up to my expectations, well they just aren't. Hawaii is pretty far behind on the food scene. My dish had quite a bit of black beans in it, almost too much. And my soft poached eggs were hard. But you can't complain when your in Hawaii! :)
Julia's Benedict was hard boiled... enough said. But then we enjoyed the day snorkeling with sea turtles in a little cave up the road. AWESOME!

Later that night we went to our coworker, Aaron's, house. Mind you we got there around 8 and didn't eat dinner until maybe 10:30. But let me tell you, it was well worth it. His landlords that live connected to his house joined in making fresh pasta for Aaron's bolognese and mushroom sauce. We enjoyed it with lots of great wine and great friends.

I'm glad we chose Hawaii.
