How's It Going?!

Its been almost a month now and life is good! We live with a coworker named Jeff and surprisingly enough, he's from New York. Even more surprising is he, along with almost everyone we work with, are CIA grads. Jeff, also known as The Native, is our saucier so when we come home and have a question about anything, he helps us out. He knows quite a lot about food. He showed me how to make an apple jalapeno gastrique which is equal parts vinegar and sugar and then a reduction of any flavoring you wish to feature. Delicious! Another coworker Jared, Da Professa, taught me a really fast and efficient way to julienne carrots. He said its the asian technique.

Brandon and I have been working many action stations lately. We have had large groups and parties and its a lot of fun being out there and having them notice you. Poor Brandon, though, has been on breakfast the past few weeks. On the brightside though is that hes great at making omelets! He does at least 400 every morning! I'm just lucky and get to sleep in before work :P

I took Brandon to Kihei to see my favorite beach, Charlie Young, and he loved it. What he had really wanted to do for some reason while we were there was to drink coconut milk out of a coconut haha so i bought him one (only because they drill a hole for you or else i would pick it off a tree) :)

Looking forward to whats laying ahead for us. We still have 14 weeks of learning to accomplish. Oh yeah, and that extern manual...

Until next time!
Julia
