Amasia will amaze ya!

Julia, a couple of our friends, and I went to The Grand Wailea hotel in Wailea with a very specific destination, a place we've heard raving reviews about, Alan Wong's Amasia and we were not let down. Amasia was a term used to describe the earth when all of the continents were together as one. It is fitting as Alan Wong has made his career in perfecting an east-meets-west cuisine popularly known as Pacific Rim Cuisine.
The Grand Wailea is a beautiful hotel with a very upscale-resort feel to it and Amasia, which is situated in the heart of the hotel, is no exception. The walk into the restaurant is beautiful- following creeks with bronze sculptures and well kept flora and fauna throughout, leading to the very entrance of the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is magnificent, Julia and I were seated right in front of a beautiful waterfall, which was situated in the middle of the restaurant's Koi-pond.
As we read over the menus it became clear that we were going to be ordering a lot of delicious food, and we did- 17 courses would come throughout our 2 hour dining experience.
